NHS and Trac application support

Your supporting information decides whether you are shortlisted.

Most NHS posts are applied for through Trac or NHS Jobs, and shortlisters score what you write against the person specification. We review or edit your supporting information for one specific vacancy, so the evidence for each criterion is easy to find and true to what you have done.

Why this goes wrong

A strong CV cannot rescue weak supporting information.

Shortlisters work through the essential and desirable criteria and look for evidence of each one. If your examples are vague, or buried in long paragraphs, they are easy to miss. Many rejections come down to this, not to the candidate's actual experience.

Criteria coverage

Are the essential criteria all addressed, plus the desirable ones you can honestly claim? We map your draft against the person specification and show you what is missing.

Evidence

Each claim needs a specific example from your own experience. "Good team player" scores nothing. A named situation where you did the thing scores.

Structure and accuracy

A shortlister should be able to follow your evidence quickly, without repetition, and every statement must stay accurate and professional.

Application packages

Have it reviewed, or have us edit it.

Both services cover one advertised vacancy. We work from your draft, the job description and the person specification. You provide the facts and examples; we will not invent evidence.

Only have rough notes rather than a full draft?

Email us first. More extensive help is sometimes possible by quotation, but only from accurate information and real examples that you provide.

What to send us

  • Your existing supporting information draft.
  • The full job description.
  • The person specification.
  • The vacancy reference or a link to the advert.
  • The closing date, and any word or character limit.

Clear boundaries

We improve your evidence. We do not invent it.

We can reorganise and reword what you have actually done so it is easier to score. We cannot add clinical duties, achievements, qualifications or examples that did not happen, and we will decline work that asks for that.

FAQ

Before you book

Is this only for Trac?

No. We review medical applications submitted through Trac, NHS Jobs or an employer's own system. Whatever the platform, we need the job description and the person specification.

Will this guarantee an interview?

No. We can improve how your evidence is presented and how closely it matches the criteria, but the decision depends on the employer, your underlying experience and the other applicants.

Can you write the whole application for me?

The £149 service edits and restructures a draft you have written. We do not produce applications from nothing, because the examples have to be yours and have to be true.

Are you part of Trac or the NHS?

No. Doctor CV Clinic is an independent editing service. It is not affiliated with Trac, NHS Jobs, the NHS, the GMC or any employer.

Got a closing date coming up?

Tell us the vacancy and the deadline when you email. Application work is scheduled around closing dates where we can.
